Some of the worst odors come from the gray tanks due to mold, sloughed-off skin, hair, and leftover fats, oils and grease. RV gray tanks do not have a flush which makes them difficult to clean without the proper equipment.
RV tanks can develop struvite which is similar to kidney stones. Struvite is a hard mineral deposit which can cause clogs, hold odors, and make your sensors misread. It adds weight and can lessen the amount your tanks and pipes can hold. Struvite can build up to 1/2 an inch thick or more. Once struvite starts building, you can't remove it just using your RV black tank flush or extra tank rinsing.
A build up of struvite and other waste can gum up the sensors causing them to give faulty readings. It only takes a little piece of unwanted material to make a sensor read full even after you just emptied the tank.
Toilet clogs can have many causes including: not using enough water when flushing, a "poop pyramid" (see below) has been built, items were accidently dropped in the bowl, and children and/or pets "testing" out the system. A toilet plunger is often not enough to clear the clog.
This is exactly what you think. Not having enough water in your black tank and not using enough water when flushing will cause waste to sit in one spot and build back up through the line towards the toilet. This pyramid can dry out and harden and prevent you from being able to completely dump the tank. Fifth wheels are most susceptible to this due to the toilet drain configuration.

Each call will include a one-time service charge of $75 and will cover travel to your location of up to 20 miles. Any additional mile over the 20 will be charged at $2.50 per mile. Distance will be determined using Google Maps and a starting point of 6045 Portal Way, Ferndale, WA 98248. I do not charge for my return trip, only the trip to you.
